Earth Day is a time to appreciate the natural world and reflect on how we live alongside it. At RiverHeath, that connection to nature is part of daily life.
We’re located along the Fox River, in a setting shaped by water, trees, and wildlife. From our studios to our three-bedroom homes, each residence is designed to be modern, comfortable, and grounded in its surroundings. Large windows and open layouts bring the outside in, offering peaceful views and natural light.
Right outside our doors, miles of trails stretch in both directions. Residents use them to bike, walk, and take in the seasons. Birdwatchers often spot pelicans, eagles, and other migrating species following the river’s path. Otters have even made themselves at home nearby. The Fox River is a vital migratory route, and living here means witnessing that movement up close.
Sustainability has always been part of who we are. Our electricity comes from an adjacent hydropower facility, powered by the same river that defines this place. It’s a simple, local solution that helps us live more lightly on the land.

We also support green infrastructure projects, like stormwater biofilters, which reduce runoff and protect local waterways. These systems use native plants and natural filtration to keep pollutants like phosphorus and sediment out of the river, helping preserve the ecosystems that thrive here.
We’re close to downtown and next to Telulah Park, but what makes RiverHeath feel special is the balance. The calm. The quiet. Whether it’s kayaking in the early morning, sipping coffee on a balcony, or just watching the river flow, there are countless small moments that help residents feel connected to something bigger.
This Earth Day, we’re proud to be a place where nature and community meet. A place where thoughtful design supports a more sustainable way of living. Schedule a tour today!
